On July 22, C&D Inc. convened the Work Conference for Building A Model National Civilized City to convey the spirit of the work conferences on building a model national civilized city promoted by the Xiamen municipal Party committee and the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, and further deploy and push forward the task within the C&D Inc.

It was stressed at the conference that enterprises at different levels of C&D Inc. need to enhance political awareness, deepen ideological understanding with the heads of enterprises assuming overall responsibility and participating in actual work; work priorities need to be clarified and aligned with the standards for building a model national civilized city; stricter inspection needs to be conducted on the sites under construction, residential areas, malls, hotels, exhibition halls, hospitals, parks, roads, etc., and renovation and improvement need to be made accordingly; results are particularly expected to be achieved in key areas such as the renovation of public facilities, old residential areas, and electric bikes; supervision and accountability need to be put in place, division of labor be clarified, frequency of supervision and review be increased to ensure real effects of the tasks and combined strengths; greater publicity is needed to constantly nurture a strong atmosphere for extensive participation in building a civilized city and provide support for building a model national civilized city dependent on volunteer activities.
